Toronto, Bemidji....Texas Update!

We finished the season with the Marlies in mid June after we lost in the finals for the Calder Cup.....it was not the best way to end the season but it certainly was exciting getting to the end! As we saw most of June flash quickly before our eyes we moved on to our home in Bemidji and prepared it to sell. Yes sadly we are moving from Bemidji a home we bought 4 plus years ago before our first child was born. We would love to stay but as the world of hockey works the summers keep getting shorter and the seasons longer.....to have a home in a place where we may not be able to find long term jobs after hockey is over does not make sense, so please pray for us that we sell soon!

Spending weekends at my parents cabin boating, swimming etc. and the weekdays trying to clean up and prep our house to look stunning on the market we then prepared for our next big venture, moving to Texas for a few weeks to spend time with Andrew's family!

While Andrew goes to school to finish up 2 classes to seal the deal on completing his college degree, I am teaching art classes with Andrew's Mom. The kids are loving Texas and LOVE the fun warm weather! They are currently involved in swimming lessons at the Friendswood Pool and its just been a blast! We are always doing something fun or swimming in the pool in the backyard! Andrew's Mom is starting up a little business on Etsy which she will turn into a future storefront in the Friendswood Area. I have been helping her develop her blog, Facebook and listen to all of her great ideas. I can picture it all and I am eagerly awaiting the finished storefront. Other than that we have had a great summer thus far!  I need to be better about blogging and I promise to try to keep up. That was a quick life update for everyone! Now onto bedtime and baths! Toddler Time!

Well we now have no babies in the family, Rowynn officially turned 2! I just can't believe that she is now the BIG 2....where have the last few years gone? I feel like I was just rocking her to sleep and feeding her.  Now she tells me when she is hungry and does so much independently. The second child likes to grow up quickly in some ways and slower in other ways I believe. She is such a sweet loving little girl but has a big personality and knows how to hold her own. I won't worry about Rowynn when she gets older! Although Maverik sometimes gets a little bugged by her most of the time they love to play together! We are going to have a BIG BIRTHDAY party in MN so we really only did cake and a few things here. I don't need to be hauling a bunch of EXTRA with me home....we have enough stuff in MN! Sadly kids grow up to quick and just like that they will be going to Kindergarten! I am going to savor the moments through a few little pictures of Rowynn's first few years.....not showing everything just a few little snapshots of life to TWO years old!

Spring has Sprung!

I can finally get over the cold weather season that I was not prepared for and now start getting ready for SPRING! Since we live in a small apartment we try to get outside whenever we can! We hope to get many more days outside as April moves forward. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the recent trips that I brought my camera when we were at the park! Spring is here! Let the Fun Begin!

Oh Canada!

I planned on blogging a LONG TIME AGO.....but then we moved to Canada...... so now before April approaches I will attempt to write a blog! Maverik started school here and he loves it! Since we are downtown we live in a very culturally diverse neighborhood! This being said all the Mom's stand around and talk before school but I do not know Mandarin Chinese so I just chill with Rowynn! Everyone is very nice and Maverik of course is very social and loves all the kids. Everyday he says "Hi Mrs.Yenko are we going to go outside today?" You see in Canada unless a blizzard is on the horizon you gear up and play outside. I can't even count on one hand the times they have stayed in since I have moved here maybe twice! Another new thing is Maverik has homework nightly....kind of harsh for a little guy but he likes it so far! Did I mention school is everyday, so that in itself is an adjustment!

Rowynn is loving Canada along with her brother! We walk via stroller to and from school everyday also going on daily errands around the city. She really misses Maverik when he is at school and all her friends that she usually got to see at swimming, strollers and sunday school. She asks me often "Where are the Babies?" Rowynn is obsessed with babies and she usually got her fix multiple times a week since many of our friends in Wichita have little bambinos.

We enjoy chatting with Baby Brooks and Cousin Bodie on Skype. Rowynn can't wait to get her hands on that baby this summer! She is all ready to feed him baby food in the highchair and a bottle! I would totally upload some photos but I am in the middle re-installing iPhoto .....next blog!

I am really getting into knitting again and working on a sweater for sweet Rowynn Rachel's 2nd Birthday! I better go so I can get back to it, Ehh?  Here is a little preview of the sweater! Have a wonderful weekend!
