Rowynn Rachel is 9 Months Old and Maverik is a Slam Dunk Star!

Wow time flies when you are almost one, Rowynn Rachel turned nine months old on January 9th and got her picture taken January 8th by Deidre Caswell Photograhy at Sweet Cheeks LLC it was a fun little afternoon.  Rowynn is now standing up and sitting up from laying down on her own! She can crawl backwards and forwards but loves to barrel roll to everything if she can! She is a sweet happy girl! Her favorite thing to do is watch her brother and dance! I am so blessed she is such a good baby! The only complaint is the girl is so nosy and just does not sleep despite all efforts put forth! Rowynn loves her Daddy and thinks he is so funny! I love dressing her up and all the fun girl clothes! The dress Rowynn is wearing was made by Lady Di! Rowynn is spoiled by both her Nana and Lady Di, being the only girl grandchild definitely has its benefits!

My little three year old got chosen to do a Slam Dunk contest during the intermission of his Dad's Hockey game, he was thrilled! I was also so lucky to have some friends at the game with me to hold Ms. Rowynn while I walked Maverik down to the ice! He did a great job and answered a few questions over the microphone. He had a good time! I was so lucky to have the Wichita Thunder Photographer, Jancy Ireland take and email me some great pictures. I love her work as well and its so nice as a busy mom to get emails full of quality pictures of your little toddler! Especially when you can't always get him to cooperate with the camera! He did ask several times if he could score a goal instead of shooting and I said not today Maverik!, OK Mom! He loves hockey almost as much as Dad! He also started skating lessons and I will try to post some pictures of that as well!

Maverik had a good time and loved to Slam Dunk! Maybe he will play b-ball?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! (2010)

We had a wonderful Christmas we got to see Andrew's parents in Dallas, TX where we met up at Andrew's Aunt & Uncle's home.  Along with seeing Andrew's family we then got to have my parents come to us and celebrate for a few days on actual Christmas. Andrew had a first of his career playing a hockey game on Christmas Day! It was fun that my parents could be here so that the kids and I did not have to be alone while Andrew traveled that day for his Christmas Game.

It was Rowynn's First Christmas and man did she enjoy what paper she could get her hands on. Maverik like to "help" her open gifts, along with anyone else that had something to open. He also very much enjoys opening presents. At this age I think the paper may sometimes be more memorable then the gift received.

This Christmas was so much fun because we got to spend it with lots of our family! I really am so happy that our children our very involved with each of our families, its nice that they love and talk about everyone that is special to them. Maverik often asks about his cousin Bodie J and he can not wait to see him again! He also loves his Nana, Papa, Lady Di and Papa Farnk! Below are a few Christmas pictures and I believe I just have one more two more posts to catch up on to bring us to our current status on my blog. I wanted to be more up to date with my blog and my picture books that is my big "New Year's" Resolution!  I hope that it sticks because it would be fun to keep both up to date!

Andrew's Mom was here for New Years and while Andrew was on a road trip. We had a painting party and watched Andrew's game online. She invented a boat ride on the chair in our living room that the kids get pretty excited about! It was not the typical New Year's that most people have but it was nice to lay low and have a fun time at home. Enjoy the photos below!

Maverik Paul Turns.....3!!! (12•18•2010)

Like my last blog update I am starting the new year with lots of old news! My little boy Maverik Paul turned 3 and that is old news!! As of midnight tonight he will be 3 years and one month! I can not believe that he is 3 (insert tear and sniffle here) I remember when he was just a little baby and was born in Johnstown, PA!  Maverik our traveling little man had lived in 3 states and 3 different time zones before he was 1! He also underwent two heart surgeries by 5 months and never missed a beat! He is such a big boy and is now potty trained which is amazing! I am so happy that he does a great job at going on his own. He has suddenly became very independent in ways that he never was before, which makes me a little sad because I look back at the days where he needed me for everything! I guess that is what growing up is all about! I remember when it was just Maverik and I! Oh man, I could go on for hours!

Maverik celebrated his birthday with some of Andrew's teammates and also in Dallas with Andrew's Parents, Sister, Uncle, Aunt & Cousin! It was a great time all around. Maverik was spoiled as usual and got lots of gifts via mail and of course from family and friends. He loves his birthday and Christmas! I think he thinks that Christmas is just weeks of presents on end! Which it is for him due to his birthday being so close to everything holiday related. He did not have a kids birthday because we are so new here and still meeting lots of people and kids his age. The hardest part about this lifestyle is all the starting over with friends, school, church etc. We love and miss our friends & family in Pennsylvania, California, Texas, Canada and of course Minnesota! Below are some pictures of Maverik's Birthday! He got to eat lots of cake and had a good time!

Happy Birthday Maverik Paul!
(My kids just love to take the option on clothing!)

Maverik's Cars Cake & Blowing Out the Candles!

Eating Cake!!

Big Boy On His Actual Day of Birth!

I just want to type a few things here about the cake below so I called all over Dallas to get a cake for Maverik, lots were to far away but I did find a small bakery close to where we lived. I called and asked if they could decorate a cake with a green dinosaur and they said they were "experts" at decorating cakes with dinosaurs. I was kind of expecting some big things and this is what I received from the expert:
(I think the expert needs to go back to school)

Happy Birthday Maverik Paul!
