Saturday Sunshine and Bare Naked Beach!

Since we traveled directly from the chilly weather of MN......the kids have been swimming everyday and the whole family went to the Ocean on Saturday in Galveston! It was a blast.....Maverik LOVED jumping over the waves as they came in swimming and floating on an inter tube.....He actually LOVES the ocean and would love to live close someday.....I believe he is a California Surfer at heart due to his two years of living in the California sun, sand and heat.....he loves HOT WEATHER and water!

Andrew built Rowynn and Maverik a sandcastle....it was so much fun! Rowynn loved the water and sand! Everyone had a great time and even Leo the puppy made the trip. We also had a flashing incident....Maverik wanted to be naked at the end.....everyone had a good chuckle.....here are some great pictures of the day!

Gabrielle the Graduate......Day One....Texas!

Gabrielle graduated and made it to the end of High School.....I met this little girl when she was 9 years old and had a little golden retriever puppy stuffed animal in a shoe box, so sweet.....boy has time changed! I have seen her grow all through her pre-teen and teen years....evolving into a mature, responsible young women....

She wanted to make her dress out of duct tape her last month of art class, she did a great job....as I was tying her up doing last minute alterations I was thinking, how many people think to do this! At first she followed a pattern and then she scratched it and made her own design. It really turned out amazing! She is very creative and wanted to leave her mark as she exited the doors of Bay Area Christian School.....I think she did! She even received a four year Toyota scholarship for engineering and was awarded it last night, hats off to GG! Here are some pictures below!

Before the Graduation, the kids went swimming with Daddy. They had a great time! Maverik and Rowynn had a babysitter while we went to the grad and then  Andrew and I chaperoned the senior party afterward! It was a RAVE theme.....kind of wild! It was a good time and I am exhausted, even though I did not graduate!

MN Home.....

The Kids are enjoying being at home and playing together. Now that Rowynn is walking and one year old, Maverik has taken a liking to her....he is always loved her but he thinks she is really something now that she can walk, start to talk and is a busy toddler.... Bonding with his little sister is now really fun!My new favorite is now that Rowynn eats real food as Maverik states she suddenly can eat just about anything and Maverik has came to this realization. Now he says if he does not want to eat something, "Mom, Rowynn says she wants to eat this, she is hungry." very convenient for when he wants to be done with dinner or does not like something. "Yummy, Rowynn try this.....its so good you can have it, MOM I am done!" Ha! I am laughing every other minute when I am at home! I have a feeling Rowynn might take her turn at taking advantage of Maverik someday as well......

Now that we are close to Bodie J, Maverik asks everyday, can we go to Bodie's house? Where is Auntie CC??? How come we can't see them! So we visit when we can and Maverik loves it! We took at walk to Caribou by my sisters pad in Brainerd! They kids got drinks! How spoiled! They love each other! Its so much fun!

My friend Lindsey had a baby and came through Bemidji....little Jasper is so cute....Rowynn thought so to!!! Wink Wink........

Growing Toddlers......

Just a little story from our life......recently Maverik who has NEVER really loved shoes was complaining to me that his shoes hurt....I thought that this was another sorry excuse for not wanting to wear any shoes. I was wanting to buy him a pair of sandals that he could run and play with but still stay on his feet so I brought him to a shoe store for a quick shopping trip to measure his foot.....now I would know the real truth behind the shoe drama..... As the man measured his foot he pointed me to the boys section and stated "He measures a 12.5 and all of our selections for boys sizes are on that wall over in that direction." WHAT!!!! I guess the size 11 that he just was into for growing room was not going to work anymore.....yowsers! I was wrong and Maverik was right! He has been growing like a weed lately.....I can't believe it......so needless to say a new pair of keen sandals were purchased and old shoes were put away.......Soon he will be 3.5, I guess I will have to measure his foot every month now!

Rowynn also went for her yearly physical without me Andrew took here while I was gone alone with two kids shots and all! He did a great job! Now he knows how it is when he is on the road and I am home alone with the kids going through daily life! I also know how it is to travel and work away from home.....both not easy! Anyway if you want to know what kind of stroller pushing workouts I have been getting lately here is what I have been pushing around:

 

Maverik weighed and measured in later May at the Doctors......

Weight: 48 lbs

Height: 45.5 inches tall

 

Rowynn weighed and Measured at 13 months at the Doctors....

Weight: 27 lbs

Height 31.5 inches tall

 

Over 75 lbs in my stroller plus the weight of my stroller.......that is one great workout!
