Back on the BLOG

I have not blogged in FOREVER! We have had a wonderful FALL and start of winter! Maverik is involved in preschool, swimming and skating lessons! He is growing up everyday and I am super SAD that he is going to be four years old soon! Rowynn is talking up a storm and growing so quick! I am so sad that its going so fast! We had lots of visitors in November so the kids were elated with everyone being around! My parents came for Thanksgiving and Andrew's parents came the weekend before! This year is really going to be fun for Maverik's birthday and Christmas! He has a list of what he wants and is very excited for Santa this year. His list is pretty basic with a few very descriptive choices, its so funny when kids know EXACTLY what they want. He has is first Christmas play at school this next Wednesday....I wonder how he will do! Ms. Rowynn loves her brother, she is a copy cat and wants to do whatever he is doing, except for her love for babies. She always is carrying around a little doll when she is not busy running after Maverik. She also is very into coloring...she has done some really fun drawings/art work lately! Here are a few photos of the kids below! I promise to keep on blogging and not leave it in the dust): I hope everyone is nearing the end of lists and is done with holiday shopping etc.!

Blog Hiatus!

I have been on blog hiatus! Whew! What a summer! I have been working a lot this summer so I have been finding less time for blogging! I hope to be back on the blog train when I get back to Wichita for the season! I am thinking I will have some great pictures and stories from the road trip, packing and unpacking! Looking forward to a fun filled fall, winter and spring! Update you all soon! Keep us in your thoughts and prayers while we are driving cross the mid-west to our winter home! Just a quick update! My sister had sweet baby Brooks this August! He is just a little angel and is the best baby & never cries because he is just like his Auntie when I was a wee little babe..... and he was also born in August, Double bonus!.....Best month for birthdays ever! We also celebrated FIVE years of marriage whew! Is that all? Just kidding! Here is to 50 more!

Alright what else did I miss? My sister in law went to college......here is a picture of her at school! I think she is having a good time! She loves tennis, college and her new found friends! Here is a picture of her with her tennis girls she is the tall blonde on the very left!

Just came back from a great trip with my girls at knitting weekend! Knit One Purl 6 was our name for the weekend, Six years! I know knitting people think nerdy but I take offense! It is super cool......and when Rowynn is rocking a sweet sweater that looks high end and expensive.......you will be jealous because I made it for less.....or bought it on sale! Ha!

BEST NEWS OF THE SUMMER! Maverik had his heart check up and they said see you in 2 years! I love it! He is healthy and can do whatever he wants to do athletically and physically......so great for him! He is such a big strong boy! Here is a picture with his famous surgeon from Pittsburgh.....Doctor Victor Morrell......to think this will be 4 years post op this upcoming Feb/May........

Summer is Flying By!

Wow! I have not blogged in forever and I wanted to say hello to everyone! I have not forgot about this blog but I have been so busy this summer I have not had enough time to blog about all the fun things we have done! Besides our normal summer life in Bemidji we have of course been to my parents cabin multiple times since our official return to MN this spring. The kids love the cabin and just never want to leave once we have arrived! I have two little fish for children and they can't stay out of the lake! Maverik also loves to jump off the dock and swimming platform! Rowynn likes to follow Maverik and Bodie around the cabin copying whatever they decide to do!

We put in a new hardwood floor this summer in our living room off the kitchen, well Andrew put it in I was the supervisor! It turned out amazing! What else? Well Andrew had a birthday and the kids loved celebrating the fourth at the lake. My parents have been finishing a few projects to the big build at the lake cabin and Andrew has been helping with that! We also celebrated 5 years of marriage this July!

Maverik is unfortunately to young for t-ball and soccer here in Bemidji so we signed him up for Summer Preschool......sounds mean but he loves it! It is just 2 weeks out of every month and each 2 week sessions focuses on a different theme! The first was Farm/Barnyard Animals and the session we are currently in is Ocean Life! Maverik loves his friends and his routine of learning and playtime.......We hope to sign up for swimming lessons in August again if time permits.....it not then we will just hit them up this fall. Summer is for playing outside and having fun when the kids are this little!

Rowynn is saying a lot of words but her favorite is NO! She says puppy, baby, Mama, Dada, Papa, BaBa (brother), This and lots of point and expressing.......and a few other words thrown in mix! Its something new everyday!

I will try to be more frequent with a blog post, sorry for the brief synopsis!......Here are just a few pictures!

The Houston Zoo.........

The Houston Zoo was a fun & hot day! The kids love the Zoo! We got to the ZOO in the early am and by 1:00 we were hot, sweaty and done! It gets hot quick in Texas! Maverik was happy to walk around and give us a tour telling us all the animal names! Here are some great pictures of the day!
