Imagination Running Wild!

My little man is a builder, thinker and creative little guy.....he loves to make imaginary things. He really likes to perform and show me how his inventions, both imaginary and real! He is always asking me to take a look at this MOM,showing me things saying, "Wow this is cool....want to try it!"  Lately he has been really amazed with bugs, especially bees, ants, flies and anything that just buzzes around. Maverik wants to be a Pollen Jock like the BEE Movie for Halloween......it involves a helmet! If you know Maverik you know that he loves to wear ANY helmet, hockey, football, baseball, ski helmet, police helmet, fire helmet.....bike helmet......you name it he wants one and wants to wear it!  After spending the morning poolside on Memorial Day here is what was explained to me after he found some pool gear laying around the backyard: "This is a bee hive" says Maverik. 'The tube is the filter, to take the honey out...a bee works his whole life just to make honey." Thank you Maverik Paul! Here are some pictures of his bee hive.........

Just making sure it works right.....

Telling me ALL ABOUT his creation......

That was fun now a quick swim in the pool.......naked, of course!

My little Rowynn LOVES to do things to......she loves to point and tell what she sees, mostly she looks for dogs but everything is a puppy BIG or small......she is so cute! I made a crown with Ms. Rowynn this morning over breakfast.....she loves to pick away at things! That is why she loves STICKERS and I helped her really filled up the crown with some cool ones! It turned out to be so cute!

Pointing at the "Puppy Leo"

 Her Crown.....

This little girl loves what her brother loves, he loves squirt guns so naturally.....she does too!

Rowynn just got demoted to princess of the pool....Lady Di is now the Queen, HA! Diane is studying her art plans for next weeks big camp at FFAI

Rowynn loves books and was giving her two sense on what she thinks about collage.....she prefers glitter and sequins......lots of modge podge.....the more mess the better.....LOL

Traveling Fool

I was trying my best to catch up with Easter and coming home to MN........wow I did not get to it!  I think I will just skip ahead to the present.  I will try to keep up to speed on the blog so I don't always feel like I have to "Catch Up."

I recently took my first flying trip alone EVER since the kids have been born. Yes I have left them plenty of times for a weekend or two but never I have I flown away by myself.....which was a totally new experience for me! I am usually chasing children, getting full pat downs from security and wiping bottoms....instead I was lounging around, chatting on the phone drinking Caribou & reading a book......wow! That never happens ever! I read the book Water for Elephants on the plane ride to and from the Houston, TX......it was a wonderful book off my newly created "summer reading list"....now I can see the movie!

Once I got to Texas it was all work, I helped my mother in law Diane with Art in the Park to help raise money for her newly created non-profit FFAI.....here is the website if you want to check it out: http://www.FFAIonline.com I quickly learned that working for a non-profit is twice as hard as a real job....but it was so much fun! I helped with a lot of different aspects graphic design, art projects and coordinating the volunteers.  Diane had everything beautifully organized so I was just on hand to assist her in what she need me to help create or finish. I know that FFAI is going to become even more successful and keep growing.....inspiring young and old in the Friendswood Area!

I missed my kids everyday and felt weird for someone not to need me to help them. I loved the free time but I was happy to see them after a few days!

Here is one cool picture of a chalk artist at art in the park.....is that not amazing!

Here is our FFAI booth!

A little collage of pictures/thank you from the FFAI AiTP event!

It was so much fun! Thanks for inviting me Diane & Frank!
